March 5th 2020, I  moved from Denver to New York City in a U-haul full of hope and excitement for my new life. I had voluntarily left my Product Manager role at an extremely supportive Denver start-up infamously tellling the CEO (now a friend), “I could NEVER work remotely - I love the office" and confident in the opportunities available to me in NYC and then...the pandemic happened. 

With enough time (and many therapy sessions) in my rear view, I now look back at 2020 with immense empathy for myself and others and, strangely enough, gratitude.

Without that grueling job search - interviewing 101 times in less than 6 months, I wouldn't be doing what I do now.

I wouldn’t have realized how broken and lonely job searching is for women nor would I have had the motivation to do something about it.

In those 6ish months not only did I move and adapt to a bizarre and isolated life in locked down Manhattan - I interviewed 101 times, negotiated multiple offers and landed, what I thought to be, a “dream job” - doubling my salary.

With the gift of time and perspective, I’d like another chance to share my story and my lessons learned from interviewing 101 times with you.
